These terms apply to all orders placed with GeoParallax (“we”, “us”, “our”) through this website. By placing an order, you agree to these terms. Please read them before you buy.

The Product

We sell the book Edge of the Continent: The Western Cape, a premium hardcover, printed to order. Product details, specifications, and pricing are set out on the relevant pages of this website. We take care to describe and depict the book accurately; slight variation in colour between screen images and the printed book may occur due to the nature of printing and screen display.

Orders and Pricing

All prices are shown in South African Rand (ZAR) and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Shipping is charged in addition and shown before you complete your order. We reserve the right to correct any pricing errors before dispatch; if a price is materially wrong, we will contact you before processing your order.

Payment

Payment is processed securely through our payment provider, PayFast. We do not receive or store your card details. Your order is confirmed once payment has been successfully received.

Printing and Delivery

Each book is printed to order and then dispatched. Please allow [X–X working days] for printing and dispatch, plus delivery time depending on your location within South Africa. Delivery timeframes are estimates and not guaranteed. We are not responsible for delays caused by the courier or by circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Cancellations, Returns and Refunds

If your book arrives damaged, defective, or is not what you ordered, please contact us within [7] days of delivery, with photographs where relevant, and we will arrange a replacement or refund at no cost to you.

In line with your rights under South African consumer law, you may cancel an order and return the book in its original condition for a refund within the applicable cooling-off period. Return shipping for a change of mind may be for your account; return shipping for a damaged or incorrect item is for ours. Refunds are made to your original payment method once the returned book is received, or once a damaged/incorrect item is confirmed.

Bulk and Trade Orders

Bulk, wholesale, and trade orders are handled separately and by arrangement. Terms for those orders will be agreed directly with you and may differ from these terms. Please use our Bulk & Trade Enquiries page.

Intellectual Property

All content in the book and on this website — including photographs, text, and design — is the property of GeoParallax and its creator and is protected by copyright. You may not reproduce, distribute, or use any of it without our written permission.

Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, our liability in connection with any order is limited to the price paid for the book. Nothing in these terms limits any rights you have under South African consumer law that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The version that applies to your order is the one published on this website at the time you place it.
